2004 Trilogy
Winemaker Notes: Flora Springs has always been a consistent producer of beautiful wines that can be enjoyed either as vibrant and young or as cellared
and graceful. The 2004 Trilogy is no exception. This 20th anniversary blend features a lovely cassis and cherry bouquet, as well as intense fruit flavors of each of the five noble Bordeaux grapes that are now being included. Each varietal is vital to the outcome. The Cabernet exhibits black cherry and dark cocoa character, while the Merlot carries these flavors to the back of the palate where the Cabernet Franc offers notes of coffee and toffee to the finish. The Malbec brings a ruby richness, while the Petit Verdot lends a hand with red plum. Elegant and balanced, the 2004 Trilogy stands as a reminder of why this groundbreaking Meritage is renowned for two decades.
2004 Napa Valley Merlot
Winemaker Notes: Flora Springs uses Merlot from our Komes Ranch, Oakville and Pope Valley vineyards for our Napa Valley bottling. The variety in vineyards allows us to use the best of each vineyard - the “Cabernet-like” characteristics from Rutherford and Oakville - and the lively, bright fruit from Pope Valley.
Our Napa Valley Merlot remains consistent over the years and this vintage is no
exception. It boasts full fruit characteristics of strawberry and cherry with a hint of raspberry and spiciness. A small amount of new oak barrels were used in the aging process, and we used a combination of French, American and Eastern European barrels to create a pronounced oak characteristic in the wine. The tannins are green tea-like and smooth, making this wine one of our favorites for any occasion.
2006 Barrel Fermented Chardonnay
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 vintage offers rich flavors of peach and pear with a hint of pineapple on the palate. Due to the considerable richness that is inherent in our fruit, this wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. We choose to highlight the bright acidity available in our Chardonnay to create a delicious wine that can pair beautifully with food or simply be enjoyed alone.

2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
WINEMAKER NOTES: The 2002 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the richest in years. The gorgeous varietal fruit flavors on the palate are just exquisite and impeccably balanced with complex tannins. It is a fabulous wine illuminating the purity and radiance of the cabernet grapes and showcasing the talents of the winemaker-a joy to drink now and into the future.
2005 Grignolino
Winemaker Notes: The 2005 Grignolino (pronounced green-o-lean-o) has a luminous ruby hue and a passionate bouquet. It dances onto the palate in predictably lively fashion, with a dry, slightly tart fruity taste.
Forty-five years ago, the Heitz family purchased an eight-acre Grignolino vineyard. Always a local favorite, this refreshing wine has been discovered by lots of Heitz fans who love to pair it with pasta and pizza - not surprising, since this varietal originates in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.
